If I want an Umbrella policy what should my liability limits be for my Homeowners and Automobile policies?

• Minimum Homeowner Liability limits are $300,000
• Minimum Automobile Liability limits are either $250,000/$500,000 split limits or $300,000 combined single limit.
• The underlying auto limit would need to be 500/500 or 500,000 CSL if there are youthful drivers in the household.

May I change billing/payment methods during the year if my situation changes?

Billing/payment changes should only be done at the renewal but should an emergency arise please give us call.

Does Northern Neck Insurance offer policies in States other than Virginia?

We are a Virginia only Mutual Insurance Company and do not write outside of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Northern Neck Insurance Company was originally chartered as Northern Neck Mutual Fire Association of Virginia by a special Act of the Legislature of Virginia in 1896. As a mutual insurance company we are not publicly traded and therefore have no shareholders. Instead, policyholders are the ones who share in ownership of the company. With a mutual insurance company, customers who purchase their insurance products - such as homeowners insurance - are entitled to vote in the board of directors elections.
