Photo Tips
Here are some helpful hints for taking a picture of yourself
Ask a family member or friend to take your picture.
Take the picture outdoors, natural light is key.
Shoot with the sun in front of you, but avoid harsh light. (If the sun is behind you'll be silhouetted.)
Center yourself in the frame and shoot at a straight angle.
Distance yourself from the background and make sure it's not too distracting.
Don't worry about filters, shooting in "Portrait Mode," or shooting in B&W – keep it in color and keep it simple!
Stand relatively close to the photographer – shoot from the waist up and leave plenty of space on the sides so there's room for cropping.
Smile!
Take multiple pics and pick your favorite.
